Chef's Light and Easy Tequila Lime Shrimp

Chef Joey wanted to share something you could use on these gorgeous fall evenings even when you have worked all day! His Tequila Lime Shrimp is light and fresh. It is easy to make and will impress even the most discerning taste buds. Enjoy!

  • 12 Large Shrimp
  • 1 shallot thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbls fresh minced garlic
  • 1 Tbls fresh chopped cilantro
  • 2 oz. Tequila
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 Tbls softened butter
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper

  1. Saute shrimp, shallots, and garlic over medium heat for 4 minutes
  2. Add tequila and reduce by half, then add lime juice.
  3. Bring to a simmer and add butter stirring constantly for 1 minute
  4. Remove from heat and add cilantro
  5. Season with Salt and Pepper to taste
